I'm beginning to despise this piece of my poster. I've been working on it on and off for three days now and it's gone way past being on my nerves. It's supposed to be a few paragraphs detailing global H5N1 spread and tying it in to the risks of spread to North Carolina. But what I'm writing about it common knowledge- in the scientific community, at least. So no one mentions it outright, they just assume the reader knows it. But it's just complex enough that the FAQ's and press releases intended for the general public don't mention it at all, because who trusts people to be able to understand that.

As a result, I've been reduced to typing sentences that I know are true and then plugging the key words into google scholar to try to find a scientist or reputable site that deigns to mention what I already know.

Le sigh. At least the money's come in. I'm supposed to start getting paid in 3-5 business days! I'm hoping it's 4, since the pay period ends friday and that way I could turn in a timesheet for the last two weeks. Yay for a paycheck!
