Er...?

I have a question for the internets. Has anyone else been getting messages from a DSL-SIA-INFO @ psu.edu? One of my addresses recently was picked up by spammers, but the vast majority of the messages I've been getting lately have been some variation of "Please remove me from this list". Some of them are even threading in gmail. I've opened a couple and they have nothing malicious in them, just a body with a please remove variation and even some with people reminding others not to hit "reply all." The names they're coming from sound legit as well. One even came from a Blackberry. I'm a bit baffled, and almost tempted to e-mail one of the people and ask if they were put on in a similar fashion.

I believe I may have just run across one of the oddest things I've seen in a long time.

The Russian army has a men's choir which dates back to Soviet days and still performs regularly throughout Russia. Not at all odd in and of itself; the US army and I suspect many other countries have similar choirs.

However, the combination of the Red Army Choir and the Finnish rock band The Leningrad Cowboys is a bit more unusual, particularly when you consider the hair and the shoes. Still, stranger things have happened and cross-cultural contact is a positive thing.

But tossing "Sweet Home Alabama" into the mix?

O.o

...

I think it might be growing on me.
