Jan. 6th, 2007 03:40 pmUpon packing, it has become obvious that I have way too many of the following things:
- Art supplies. Never mind that I've used most of it. It took me 30 minutes just to clean up from my last project, though granted that time did include finishing it. Art stuff is staying at home, though the art table will serve as a desk in the apartment.
- Shoes. I'm not sure how this happened. Actually, I do. I dance, nuff said. That accounts for a third of it, give or take. However, I'm not sure where the two pairs of water shoes, three pairs of flip flops, four pairs of boots (not including the rubber barn boots hiding behind the desk) and five pairs of sandals came from. And that's not all of it, amazingly, there's a few random pairs of clogs and moccasins in there too. Half of the shoes are staying at home.
- Books, except one can never have too many books. That said, the (fairly large) bookshelf is now stacked two deep, the two shelves above my desk are full and the bottom of my nightstand and a random coffee table (which is parked in the room until further notice) are also full. I thought that by limiting myself to school books and books I haven't read yet I would be able to just take one suitcase to the apartment. Erm, my school books filled one suitcase...
That said, I was pleased to find that my clothes, with the exception of hoodies and jackets, fit into one big suitcase and one carry-on size duffle bag. This is very good news for spending the summer in California and next fall in Barcelona, as I'm not planning on taking all of the clothes on those trips.
