winterthunder: (rain)
Whilst running late this morning I dropped my peanut buttered toast. Upon having it land peanut butter side up, my first thought was "Yay, it could have been worse but it landed right side up and I can still eat it! Perhaps this is an omen of the day?"

I'm unsure as to whether this is due to optimism or is an indication of how rough the last couple of weeks have been. Needless to say, the day certainly could have been worse. Despite the fact that this is the 23rd (and yes, I counted) minute of free time I've had since walking out the door this morning at 8:30, the day certainly could have been worse. I wasn't late for my first class. I seem to be coming to a cautious sense of optimism regarding Friday's organic test. Or at least the moments of abject terror are diminishing. I think I did decently on the Linguistics test. Spring break is only two days away.

So, what went well in your day today?

Cool stuff

The Center for Biological Diversity has a whole bunch of calls from endangered animals free for downloading as ringtones for your cellphone. The idea is to raise awareness for these animals, so when people go "Why is your phone croaking?" you can explain all about the plight of the Gopher Frog. Or whichever animal you think makes a nice tone. I'm having trouble deciding between the Short-eared Owl and the Mexican Wolf myself.
