Snow!!

Not much, granted, and none of it stuck, but it was there! I scraped an inch and a half of it off of my car this morning! It was the perfect consistancy for snowballs and I ... had to go to class.

If I miss nothing else about grade school, it is their willingness to cancel at the first snowflake. Because really, what's the fun in the snow if you can't sleep in, put on every article of clothing you own to go out and make snow things and then come back in to a nice cup of cocoa? Staring at the snow from a classroom where the professor is going on about 1492 (in Spanish, mind you), is not how one is supposed to spend a snow day.

For those on my f-list who live up north and are probably laughing at me right now, let me please clarify that I live in North Carolina. Our last "Winter Weather Event" (and yes, they do call them that) was two years ago when we made national news after an inch of snow brought the entire city to a standstill for several hours because everyone rushed out onto the roads to get their precious kiddies from school. Most of said precious kiddies ended up spending the night at said schools because of the gridlock. When I was in middle school, 23 inches of snow put school out for 3 weeks. I was on a year round schedule at the time and was lucky to be tracked out, but the rest of the school went Saturdays for the rest of the year. To say we don't know how to deal with snow is an understatement:D

(Hmm, I don't appear to have a snow icon anymore. Poo.)
