A couple of things
Dec. 13th, 2006 09:35 pmI began writing this for my
explodingnoodle account, since it is current event related and all that, but this account has more of a readership, so I'm linking. Feel free to read or comment here or there if you'd like. I think it's rather interesting, and I'd appreciate the feedback on my ability to reason and get my point across.
On Secrecy and Stupidity
This is more for myself, since I've always had trouble with the use of affect and effect. After reading this I'm still not sure I'm using them right, but at least now I can go stare at this whenever I can't reword my sentence to avoid it.
( affect vs. effect )
In other news, the dog has a plasmacytoma, which will have to be removed in the next few days since it's open and oozing. I'm not ecstatic about this, but since both myself and the vet initially thought it was mast cell (which would indicate a return of the malignant tumors of a few years ago and would lead to a whole series of unwelcome conversations about his health and how I don't think my parents are taking very good care of the dog) seeing plasma cells under the microscope was quite a relief.
And now I've procrastinated long enough really ought to study for my next two exams.
