Move in...
Aug. 12th, 2005 12:21 amIt's 12:30, and I'm mostly moved in now. We rearranged the furniture so we can fit both the art table and Erin's bookshelf. I'm excited to have shelf space, yay for books. Dad and I moved most of my stuff in over the course of 45 minutes by walking up the stairs. 9 flights of stairs. It was 95 degrees today. The line for the elevator went down the hall. I made it 4 times before I had to stop, and Dad took two more before I joined him for the last one. We still have to move the art table and a few other small things in over the weekend, mostly clothing and food. But we have furniture arranged and posters up and a rug on the floor, and it's starting to look like home. I'm glad to be back. I have news about my job too, I might still get assistant hours, and if I don't Leslie said that she would let me go with a good reccommendation to get an assistant's position somewhere else. I'm not sure that I want to do that, but it's nice that she understands why I would be leaving so that I can go back there if I need to. That's what I wanted really- either assistant hours or to leave on good terms. I think I may be better off to focus on school this semester, 20 hours is going to be a lot of work. I'll pick up with a lab job in the spring and go from there.
I'm going to bed now. Erin's reading my novel, and editing it too, by the sound of it. That's good, I want comments. Hopefully I'll get around to posting the chapters on here sometime soon, so people can access it this way.
