Don't mix dayquil and nyquil
Aug. 6th, 2005 01:23 pmI learned this last night. I took dayquil when I got home around 8 and nyquil when I went to bed around 11. Thereby overlapping the timing by about 3 hours. It has a most curious effect. I think I can justifiably call it high, having bounced it off of a few family members and friends and not gotten any objections. I kept tossing and turning, but very rhythmecally, and I think I was humming and making noises at some point, though I really don't remember it all that well. And it was all accompanied by a wonderful feeling of 'gee, I should really try to fall asleep at some point but I don't give a damn' and the occasional voice from the Harry Potter dungeons storyline- which takes on a whole new meaning when you ponder it in that state. I'm pretty sure I had some profound realization at some point, because I remember sitting up with my finger in the air, but I sure as hell don't remember what it was:-P All this went on until about 4:45 in the morning, at which point I realized that my nose was stuffed up again and my head really hurt and all of a sudden I was exhausted. So I stumbled upstairs and took some more nyquil, and fell asleep around 5am. I had some really interesting dreams, which I don't remember any of, just that they were interesting. I think I'll stay away from drugs for today...
