For future reference, pasta with creamy ceaser dressing, feta cheese and chopped kale makes a quick and yummy meal. Reasonably healthy and has a nice tangy bite:)

So, what do you make when you're hungry and can't stomach the idea of something from a box or a can?

I make pasta or stirfry and eat lots of veggies.

Hm, depends what's in the house. The quick stuff:

Toast or somesuch with butter
toast or somesuch with butter and garlic
toast with an over-easy egg
an over-easy egg with fried cheese
I have a weakness for ramen, so ramen with an egg poached in the broth
rice porridge made from cooked rice.
pantry soup: a can of tomatoes, a can of beans, an onion, some garlic, etc.
some cheese and a couple apples or pears
red rice and cheese.

Tabasco sauce makes everything better. Olive oil makes most things better.

Sometimes I end up making things which take a while, like a big pot of soup or somesuch. I've been known to bake bread on a whim.

turkey burger (i usually keep ground turkey on hand, then mix it up with pepper and greek seasoning) and grill it on my little george foreman, put it on a whole grain bun and use pepper seasoned hummus instead of mayo, and baby spinach instead of lettuce.
i make pasta salad with whole grain pasta, light italian dressing and chopped celery and carrots (sometimes i throw in canned tuna or chicken)
